About the job

1. Trade Marketing strategy development, implementation and evaluation

  • Implement the trade marketing strategy for Kuwait, Qatar & Bahrain, in line with SN Middle East plans
  • Implement retail/trade activities and events including: cross promotions, key account relationships, retailer specific regional promotions, POP materials and other in store events
  • Develop distributor score card based on agreed KPI’s & monitor performance
  • Secure consistency in Planogram execution and shelf presentation
  • Standardize the methods of evaluating the various promotions & generate timely reports
  • Take corrective and pro-active actions to improve promotions/activities effectiveness
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate trade and market performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas, identify product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs
  • Ensure distribution and availability in line with overall Specialized Nutrition plans
  • Travel 20%-25%

 

2. Implementation of Route to Market / CATMAN projects

  • Plan, execute & monitor route to market projects in coordination with Trade Marketing Manager
  • Educate and partner with key accounts, based on insights to improve availability and visibility of the total category as well as tailor made promotional programs, detailed to the retailer’s shopper

 

3. Execution of promotional plans, including A&P spends

  • Full control over promotional plans, from development of POP to timely delivery of promotional materials in store, while managing the available budget

 

4. Continuous monitoring of designated markets

  • Prepare trade forecasts and budgets; monitor trade volume, revenues and cost against forecast and adapt plans to improve the trades’ performance of SN products
  • Regular market visits (30%) to monitor and coach distributors’ sales and merchandising team
  • Communication of Insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate domestic and international trade market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity
  • Monitor numeric and weighted distribution
  • Monitor availability of Specialized Nutrition products as per Core SKU list

5. Commercial  and channel Development

  • Work on continuous development of distributor sales teams through feedback, training and other tailored development programs
  • Ensure excellence in execution and targets achievement through available or new commercial development tools in all given markets
  • Conduct quarterly business review with all distributors to monitor performance by channel/customer as well as identify opportunities, development areas and translate them into action points and KPI’s. Also keep distributors informed on all the marketing and trade marketing plans and new projects
  • Follow up on action points and KPI’s as per the business review to ensure correct and timely execution and measurements

 

6. Budget management – Gulf

  • Manage Trade budget for Kuwait , Qatar & Bahrain.
  • Create timely commitments and POs for Gulf countries based on the plans
  • Follow up on Gulf commitments and POs approvals and GR when applicable
  • Maintain budget trackers for both TP and A&P Gulf to be always up to date
  • Make sure invoices are submitted from the distributors and suppliers and cross check the necessary documentation

 

7. Promoters management

  • Support the Promoter teams with all necessary materials and information including training
  • Localize available KPIs measurements and maintain the KPI assessment on quarterly basis
  • Develop localized incentive scheme

About you
To be successful in the role, you should ideally have:

  • University degree
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
  • 2 years of commercial experience in trade marketing, business development
  • Experience in FMCG/Food/Pharma industries
  • Advanced Excel skills
