Gulf Cluster affiliate belongs to BAGOS (Business Area Gulf, Oceania and South-East Asia) with more than 56 employees who are working to improve the lives of people with diabetes, obesity, haemophilia and growth disorders in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen. NN GC is one the fastest growing affiliates in BAGOS and AAMEO (Asia, Africa, Middle East and Oceania) Region and looking for a medical advisor now.
The position is based in Kuwait, our GC HQ. As a Medical Advisor, you will be a member of the Medical, Quality and PV team and you will report to the Head of Medical, Quality and PV
About the Department
Medical, Quality and PV department is one of the key functions that support the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals. Medical department is responsible for the day to day activities of the affiliate, including evidence generation, KOL Engagement, medical education, medical guidance and publication planning
The role of the Medical Advisor is to increase Novo Nordisk's leadership in the therapeutic areas that we operate. You will be responsible to increase access to Novo Nordisk products through providing quality medical and scientific support to Key Opinion Leaders and other healthcare professionals and ensure that they are aware of and understand the scientific basis for our compounds within Diabetes, Obesity, and Biopharm. You will be responsible for formulating and executing the local product related strategies in line with the global strategy.
In many assignments, you highly collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales, marketing, market access and the regional office, to achieve collective business outcomes that benefits patients, which include developing Key Opinion Leaders management and local publication plans, setting up and running regional/local advisory boards and providing scientific contribution before and during the meeting. Furthermore, you will be setting up meetings with Drug Formulary Committees and Expert Groups in collaboration with the Market Access Managers.
You will also be responsible for developing and delivering presentations at local meetings and symposia and for providing high quality medical education and training to external customers (clinicians and Healthcare Professionals within diabetes and Biopharm) and to the Novo Nordisk employees. Input into promotion materials will also be required for ensuring compliance with local guidelines.
We are looking for a candidate with a graduation in medicine or post-graduation in Internal Medicine/Pharmacology/endocrinology with minimum 2 years of experience in medical affairs. You have strong scientific expertise and good business understanding. You are highly innovative and take initiatives in developing medical communication that make a difference to the business and improve operational and organizational effectiveness. You have excellent communication and engagement skills and can work effectively independently as well as in team. You are motivated to work in a dynamic environment and possess strong ability to drive results collaboratively. You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) and willing to travel extensively within Gulf Countries.
